Swandex is an independent software house serving international private clients and businesses — bespoke development, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and the long-term maintenance that keeps them running.
Swandex was founded on a simple commitment: build things worth keeping. Software, mobile applications, and — increasingly — the electronics and mechanisms underneath them. We take on a deliberately limited number of engagements so that each one gets senior attention from first consultation to long-term care.
We start by examining your goals — the audience, the constraints, the timeframe, the style — and set out the options honestly, including the ones that cost you less. What follows is a system designed around your objectives rather than around our convenience.
Innovation, reliability and excellence in every layer of delivery — from the first sketch, whether of an architecture or a mechanism, to the tenth year of maintenance.
Software, mobile, embedded electronics and the technology management around them. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor you never meet.

We build our own hardware as well as our clients' software — which is why maintenance is never an afterthought here. Updates, security hardening and performance work run on a schedule.

Management of Technology is the discipline of carrying an invention across every boundary it has to cross: the physics, the patent, the electronics, the firmware, the supplier, the certification, the cost per unit. We practise it on our own product before we offer it to anyone else.
Our current programme is a robotic bed: a sleep surface carried by an array of independently actuated segments, each driven by its own motor and sensed in real time, so the support adapts continuously to posture and load instead of holding one fixed shape. The mechanical architecture is filed as a patent; the control electronics, motor drivers, sensing and embedded software are ours end to end.
If you are taking a physical product from concept to prototype, we can run the same programme for you — mechanism, electronics, firmware, IP and the plan to industrialise it.

The minute repeater is horology's most useful complication — and one of its most expensive. We recorded a carillon petite sonnerie and rebuilt the mechanism in software: a deep bell for the hours, a melodic sequence for the quarters, higher chimes for the minutes.
